Product Details and Sizing

Enjoy the water with DRYPRO!

The DRYPRO Cast Protector is completely watertight keeping your casts and bandages dry. The DRYPRO offers the only arm cast protection in the world with the patented vacuum seal to keep you dry. It is so completely and totally waterproof, between the waterproof material and the vacuum seal, that you can even dive off a diving board or ride the ocean waves and still have your cast or bandage stay completely dry.

The DRYPRO protector fits snug yet comfortable offering protection during a shower, a bath, and even an active swim. Unlike "modified garbage bag" products, the cast protection offered by the DRYPRO protector is unmatched, it cannot come off. You can't even pull it off!

The DRYPRO cover is also used for immediate postoperative physical therapy, allowing hydrotherapy right after surgery, which helps prevent swelling and stiffness and aids in a speedy recovery. The DRYPRO is used by at all levels of physical therapy, including head NFL trainers, major league teams all over the country and at the collegiate level as well.

The DRYPRO waterproof fabric is rugged. The waterproof fabric is made of durable high quality surgical latex. The pump not only creates the vacuum seal but also works as a gauge showing that the vacuum is intact and cannot leak. So go ahead and ENJOY THE WATER!

This product contains natural rubber latex.  Please do not use if allergic to latex.

Not for use over metal braces (arm or leg) or orthopedic walking boots/shoes.

*DRYPRO recommends putting a soft ace bandage or a tube sock with the toe cut out over a fiberglass cast which will help reduce the sharp fiberglass threads from cutting into the DRYPRO waterproof bandage cover.

SIZING INFORMATION

Please size carefully.  The circumference measurement of the skin (above the cast) is THE most important measurement.  The DRYPRO will work properly if there is a tight seal around the skin.  To help ensure a good fit, please use our handy size chart, below, which includes circumference and length.  The most important measurement is the circumference.  Select a longer DRYPRO if the circumference matches.  The length can be adjusted once it is on the arm.

Another important tip: DRYPRO needs at least 2" of space between cast and joint/tendons/bone to get a water tight seal. Please measure above the elbow, if needed. IF THE ELBOW HAS A DISPROPORTIONATELY LARGE CIRCUMFERENCE OR IF THE THUMB IS ENCASED IN A CAST (that's called a spica), PLEASE CALL US FOR PROPER SIZING. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. Real people answer the phone! We want you to use your DRYPRO right out of the package without the hassle of exchange or the disappointment of not getting in the water right away!

If the product is returned unopened and unused within seven days a refund will be issued.  However, due to manufacturer's requirements and that DRYPRO is a healthcare product, we're sorry, but CastCoverZ! cannot accept or refund tried-on or used DRYPRO products.  If the product is defective, do not use and call us immediately at 1-800-227-8268.

Don't have a flexible measuring tape?  Confused about sizing?  Contact our Customer Happiness Gurus who have nifty tricks for measuring without a flexible measuring tape and WANT to help you find the right size.  Please call us at 1-800-227-8268.

Taking Your Measurement for DRYPRO Cast Protectors

After you've taken the measurement as shown below, scan the table below for the appropriate product for you.

Arm Circumference Measurement

THE MOST IMPORTANT MEASUREMENT!

Measure the circumference of the arm 2" above the cast. (If the end of the cast or the measurement 2" above cast is at our close to the elbow, measure mid bicep). (Do not measure around the cast -- measure around the skin.)

Please do not use a metal measuring tape to measure circumference.

Arm Length Measurement

Measure from the tip of middle finger to top end of cast. It is OK if the cast protector measurement is longer then the limb measurement, the protector will still work. Extra length will be removed when the vacuum seal is created.

How to Use DRYPRO Arm Protectors

STEP 1: Slide It On
After you have purchased your DRYPRO cast cover and sized it to fit appropriately, simply stretch on the DRYPRO waterproof cover so that it completely covers the cast or bandage plus an additional inch. The top should be smooth against the skin*. If the Dry Pro feels too tight you may trim the top slightly to increase the opening size. Be careful of sharp objects and fingernails.

STEP 2: Pump It Out
Now it's time to simply pump out the air using the attached hand-held bulb. Continue to press the bulb until the bulb remains flat and the DRYPRO waterproof cast cover is completely wrinkled. Then just remove the pump and push on the safety cap. Observe the DRYPRO waterproof cast cover and bandage cover for a few minutes before going in the water. As long as the waterproof cover stays collapsed and wrinkled, the vacuum is intact and the bandage protector cannot leak or come off.

STEP 3: Slide It Off
When you are done using the DRYPRO and are no longer near water, simply lift up the cuff to break the seal and let air back in. The DRYPRO waterproof cast cover should now be loose and allow you to simply slide it back off.
